It may have only come out a year ago, but this is one well-balanced rye that was worth the wait. Woodford Reserve is known for their whiskey blending methods of combining whiskies from their column still and their copper pot still, and that tradition has been carried on to their rye. The mash bill may only have 53% rye, but that rye really shines on both the nose and the palate. You’re in for a very sweet and balanced glass that packs a little bit of spice and makes for a great drink.
